Came for the holidays stayed for the desserts Thank you October for starting Fall off just right, but now it is time for the holidays, and that means all the desserts! This year will be a little different for me though. Ever since I began…
Why a meal plan made the difference. Almost a year after giving birth I finally looked in the mirror disappointed for the last time. It was time to get my body back, I just didn’t know where to start. I began researching ways to get your…
In just half a month my sweet baby Ray is turning ONE
At first I had no clue what to get a one year old baby girl. Do I throw a party? Does she need a new outfit? Toys, books, socks?! Then I went to Amazon and immediately got sucked into the wormhole of reviews. I thank myself for creating a list of potential gifts now and I think you will too.
I realize a baby turning one year old is a big deal. They are stepping out of the baby phase, learning new things and forming their own personality. Even with a new sense of independency, Ray is still my baby! But I want her to explore and experience as much as she can and that is why I chose the gifts I did. I want to step away from the plastic flashy toys we all grew up with. I placed a focus on mainly BPA free toys and gadgets that are safe to use but also push babies to learn and adapt. If you are anything like me, I have a weird budget. I have a “what I would like to spend budget” and I have a “MY BABY IS TURNING ONE AND SHE DESERVES THE WORLD budget”.
So for everyones convienice I have placed all items with affiliate links (these make it easy for you to shop right from here, and gives me a little compensation to put towards Ray’s presents) in a low to high budget order.
Gifts for a One Year Old

And there it is! Hope you find this list as helpful as I did!
Thanks for the read!
Sometimes we just need a list of vegetarian dinners right in front of us or else we order dominos. These recipes were carefully chosen by none other than, well me. I spent many trials and testings of different recipes to find these seven wonderful vegetarian…
One Year Out
Because wedding flowers make me excited. October came and hit me smack in the face. We are officially one year out from our wedding month. It is time I get my sh*t together and start executing all my planning.
What we have:
- Bride & Groom
- Wedding Parties Decided
- Guest List
Not much but we are getting there slowly but surely. As of now I almost up to date with my wedding planning checklist (we have yet to take engagement pictures/send save the dates, but we will get there). On today’s forecast is Wedding Flower inspiration.
I am all over the place with flowers and decoration but lately I have been interested in all bouquets and center pieces involving pampas grass. Not sure what it is about it. The combination of light and airy hues with dried looking agriculture is giving me a coastal fall vibe that I think I am going to run with.
I do think I will hire a florist. At first I wanted to create all my arrangements, but let’s be real I do not have time for that. So I put together a little list of possibilities and will let the professional work their magic!
(I have included affiliate links at your convince of wanting to make your own arrangements!)
Flowers, Grass, Alive and Dead
My mind is constantly changing and I am sure I will add more to the list and knock a few off before next October. One thing that stays consistent is my love to look at wedding flowers when I am deep into procrastinating. But for now it feels good to have something written out with a good idea in mind!
Thanks for the quick read!

Roasted brussel sprouts have become a favorite snack and side item in our house. Originally I use to just toss them in olive oil with salt and pepper. Lately I have been experimenting with flavors, ya know, trying to get out of my comfort zone.…
